Why did the Prog Totalitarian Oligarchists Pervert the meaning of Liberalism & Progressivism?

The truth about the Progs is an ugly thing. They constantly engage in opposite speak. They accuse their opposition of being what they are. They co-opt labels with positive connotation and pervert the meaning to describe what they say they are about. They are a group which relies heavily on Bernaysian Propaganda techniques which the Nazi's actually learned from them along with Social Cleansing and the idea for gas chambers for Socially unfit (the prog journalist hero Walter Lippmann) feeling that most people must be controlled and are to stupid to understand "what needs to be done"
