Mexican Beach Resorts - Open or Closed.?

I've heard that due to the effects of the H1N1 virus some beach resorts are closing (temporarily) because of a lack of customers. Is this true? I'd love to book a summer trip but a little nervous (not of the flu but because the resorts may close). If the resort does shut down for a limited time, would they transfer / consolidate all of the guests to a single resort?
